Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the weld crack resistance, working crack resistance and abrasion resistance of the obtained titled weld metal, by using specified composition comprising Cr, Mn, Ni and the balance being Fe.
CONSTITUTION: The metal of this invention to be pad-welded onto a continuous casting roll has the composition of 12W15% Cr, 0.7W2.5% Mn and up to 2% of Ni with the proviso of 0.4%≤Ni+Mn/2≤2%, and the balance being substantially Fe. When a continuous casting roll to which this weld metal is pad-welded is used, an advantage of the long life of the roll is obtained. In addition, stable line-operation can be facilitated.
