To provide a metal tube bender capable of preventing the metal tube from thinning down by effectively giving compressive force to the metal tube with a compact drive source without complicating its compression control.
In a metal tube bender including a heating means for circularly heating the metal tube, a propelling means for propelling the metal tube to the heating means, an arm capable of holding the metal tube and turning the metal tube around a support spindle, and a compression means for adding pulling-back force for pulling back the turning arm in response to propelling of the metal tube resulted from the propelling means to the arm around the support spindle as a fulcrum and applying the compressive force to the metal, the compression means includes a chain connected with an external position of the arm rather than a holding point of the metal tube as viewed from a support spindle side, and a hydraulic motor for applying the pulling-back force to the external position of the arm via the chain. Further, a chain guide for guiding the chain at an arc state is provided along a turning track of the arm.
