Abstract:
PURPOSE: To easily separate a band, whose TE ring part is ring-opened without leaving any portion of the same on a container mouth, from a cap main body when a cap is opened, and prevent burrs and thin-blade-like cut face from being attended on the cut face of the cap main body.
CONSTITUTION: A cap made of metal comprises a cap main body 4, a TE ring part 5 provided on the opening end side of the cap main body and a plurality of bridges connecting the TE ring part 5 to the cap main body 4. One of the bridges is formed into a broad bridge, and a horizontal score is formed between the bridges, respectively. Further, a vertical score is provided in the TE ring part 5, and an auxiliary score 11 is provided in the broad bridge. The auxiliary score 11 has a cross section of a notch formed into a wedge shape, and an angle A made by an upper face 11a of the notch and a vertical face V is in a range of 60 to 110 degrees, while an angle B made by the upper face 11a and a lower face of the notch is in a range of 50 to 100 degrees and and angle C made by the lower face and the vertical face is in a range of 10 to 50 degrees.
