PURPOSE: To easily separate a band, whose tamper evidence ring part is ring- opened by opening a cap, from a cap main body and prevent burrs from being attended on the cut face of the cap main body.

CONSTITUTION: A cap made of metal comprises a cap main body 4, a TE ring part 5 provided on the opening end side of the cap main body and a plurality of bridges 6 connecting the TE ring part 5 to the cap main body 4. One of the bridges 6 is formed into a broad bridge 7, and horizontal score 8 is formed between the bridges, respectively. Further, the TE ring part 5 is provided with a vertical score, and an auxiliary score is provided in the broad bridge 6. In the cap of metal thus formed, the bridges 6, 7 are formed so as to have the following relation: X<Y, wherein X represents a length in the peripheral direction of the upper part of each bridge, and Y represents a length in the peripheral direction of the lower part thereof.
