Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a metallic carrier for a catalytic converter capable of carrying an enough catalyst and capable of heating to the activation temp. of the carried catalyst in a short time without increasing the size of the carrier.
CONSTITUTION: When flat sheets 7 and corrugated sheets 8 are alternately wound to obtain a metallic carrier 1 placed in the middle of the exhaust manifold of an engine, slits 9 are formed in the sheets 7, 8 at an end of the carrier 1 on the engine side.
