Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic catalyst converter, for avoiding an opening phenomenon for a honeycomb carrier to improve exhaust emission control performance. SOLUTION: It can be prevented that, dissociating from each other of metallic thin plates 5 due to the inflow pressure of an exhaust emission to cause opening, because the dissociation from each other of the metallic plates 5, overlapped by honeycomb carriers 3a, is constrained by a meshlike metallic crown 6 arranged on the inlet side of the honeycomb carriers 3a by inserting and engaging a plurality of needles 6a into the honeycomb carriers 3a.
