Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a metallic member provided with an alumina crystalline growing layer being at a higher hardness than a noncrystalline film which is formed by an anodic-oxidation treatment, etc., and also having a sufficient thickness on the surface and also to provide a method by which the metallic member is produced at a lower temp. than the m.p. of Al.
CONSTITUTION: A Ni foil and an Al foil are successively rolled on an upper surface 12 of an Al base plate 10 and a Ni layer 14 and an Al layer 16 are laminated, and then, the crystal of the alumina is grown in the Al layer 16 by a heat-treatment in the oxidation atmosphere at a lower temp. than the m.p. of Al. At the time of the heat-treatment, diffusion of an Al atom from the Al layer 16 to the Ni layer 14 is more than the diffusion of an Ni atom from the Ni layer 14 to the Al layer 16.
