Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the production efficiency and commercialization ratio by forming the products of the same plural grades with one bottom force at a time or simultaneously form different grades.
CONSTITUTION: This metallic mold for forming a glass comprises an outer metallic mold 2 having an opening at the top surrounded by a flange and inner metallic molds 3 having parts for forming products in the top surface assembled in the opening of the outer metallic mold 2 and has a fitting structure for bringing joints on the top surface side of the inner metallic molds 3 with the outer metallic mold 2 into close contact therewith and fixing the joints without any gap when fitting the inner metallic molds 3 into the outer metallic mold 2. Thereby, the plural inner metallic molds 3 can be assembled in the outer metallic mold 2. A gob having a volume exceeding that of the parts for forming the products of the inner metallic molds 3 can be fed by forming the flange on the top surface 10 of the outer metallic mold 2. As a result, a shear mark of rubber can be prevented from applying to the parts for forming the products. Furthermore, a molten glass is not protruded from the outer metallic mold even when pressed with a plunger.
