PURPOSE: To manufacture a pulley having extremely high accuracy by making the introducing face of a sprue almost as the same inclination as that of a face forming part.

CONSTITUTION: In a metallic mold for casting providing a face forming part 3 on a pulley body B at double face positions in a split mold type so as to form the pulley body B providing a flat conical face 2 on one end of a cylindrical boss 1, the introducing face 6a of sprue 6 is formed almost as the same inclination as that of the face forming part 3. By this method, molten metal poured from the sprue 6 is made to be in laminated flow condition and the wrinkles of the molten metal on the surface 2 of pulley body can not be generated and the mold can be manufactured in high accuracy.
