Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a metallic piping for an automobile durable in an severely corrosive environment including an external mechanical force and excellent in resistance to heat, corrosion and impact.
CONSTITUTION: This metallic piping for an automobile consists of a metallic pipe 1, a zinc-nickel alloy plating layer 3 adhered onto the outer periphery of the pipe 1, a chromate film 4 formed on the zinc-nickel alloy plating layer and an extruded thermoplastic-resin coating layer 5. Further, a nickel plating layer 6 is formed under the zinc-nickel alloy plating layer 3 to constitute the metallic piping for and automobile having a similarly constructed protective coating layer.
