Title:
METALLIC POWDER, AND ITS MANUFACTURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3206496
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the oxidation during the preservation of the powder, during the pasting and particularly during the paste baking up to the temperature at which at least the organic vehicle is perfectly burned or removed by proving a glass film on at least a part of the surface of the metallic powder.
SOLUTION: A glass film is provided on at least a part of the surface of the metallic poser or the alloy powder so s to function as an oxidation protective film. Any glass film may be accepted so long as the glass transition point and the glass softening point are present, and the glass is fluidized at high temperature even when the glass is amorphous or it contains crystals in the amorphous film. The effective quantity of the glass film is about 0.01-50 wt.% of the metallic powder. The metallic powder can be obtained by adding the oxide precursor which is thermally decomposed in the solution of the pyrolytic metallic compound to generate the glass not to be solid-solved with the metal, and heating to precipitate the glass in the vicinity of the surface of the metallic powder. A conductive layer is formed using the conductive paste containing the metal.
