Abstract:

PURPOSE: To form a metallic powder molding which is less deteriorated in flexibility with age by using metallic powder, specific acrylic polymer and surface active agent to form a molding.

CONSTITUTION: The molding is formed of the metallic powder, the acrylic polymer consisting essentially of an alkyl ester of (meth)acrylic acid and having at least 50,000 weight average mol.wt. and the surface active agent. Fe-M-C multielement eutectic alloy powder or the like which is wear-resistant alloy powder is used as the metallic powder, in which M is the alloy contg. Mo, B, etc. as the essential component and Cr, V, etc. as the auxiliary component. A nonionic surface active agent or aliphat. amine surface active agent is used for the surface active agent. The content ratio of the metallic powder : acrylic polymer : surface active agent is made 87W99.4:0.5W8:0.1W5 by weight. The metallic powder molding having the good flexibility to follow up the curved surface and the excellent strength and elongation is thus obtd.
