PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide metallic silver with high purity formed using a forming material for metallic silver.SOLUTION: Provided is metallic silver formed using β-ketocarboxylic acid silver expressed by the following general formula (1), in which, when, from the mass of the remaining matter being subjected to heating treatment at 400°C for 3 hr is obtained from its purity, a difference between the purity after humidification heating treatment under the conditions of 80°C, relative humidity of 100% and 2 min and the purity before being subjected to the humidification heating treatment under the above conditions is 1.2 mass% or higher.SELECTED DRAWING: None
