Title:
METALLOCENE COMPLEX AND OLEFIN POLYMERIZATION METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2014111568
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a metallocene complex which, relative to conventional metallocene catalysts, is capable of more efficiently incorporating ethylene and an α-olefin as a comonomer during copolymerization of olefins including propylene as a monomer, polymerizing a high-molecular-weight rubber component, and further producing a homopolypropylene having a high melting point when propylene is homopolymerized, and to provide a method for polymerizing an olefin by using the metallocene complex.

A metallocene complex is represented by general formula [I] (a metallocene complex having a substituent in the position 6 of an indenyl ring, optionally having a substituent in the position 2 of the indenyl ring, and having a furyl group or a thienyl group, or the like). An olefin polymerization catalyst includes the metallocene complex. In an olefin polymerization method, polymerization or copolymerization of an olefin is performed by using the olefin polymerization catalyst.
