Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of quickly performing the troubleshooting of a system and also capable of executing the troubleshooting of the system anywhere.
SOLUTION: This vehicular meter device 30 has a function to display information on troubleshooting by receiving information on troubleshooting from systems 112-116 such as an engine control system 112, an anti-lock brake system 113 or an electric power steering system 114 each equipped with CAN controllers 122-126 and troubleshooting functions 132-136, and is provided with a CAN controller 121 for exchanging information with systems 112-116. The device 30 is also provided with a control section 101 to control the display of a failure code by outputting an instruction to execute troubleshooting from the CAN controller 121 to the systems 112-116 and transmitting the failure code from the systems 112-116 on the basis of the instruction. Thereby, for example, troubleshooting can be executed without using an exclusive tool for troubleshooting. As a result, the troubleshooting of the system can be executed anywhere.
