The meter includes a display means 2 displaying measurement information containing the travel speed and travel distance of the vehicle; and a control means 1 containing a measurement processing calculating the measurement information to display on the display means 2 based on the vehicle information from the vehicle, a first memory processing storing the measurement information per predetermined time cycle for a certain period into a RAM (first memory means), and a second memory processing correlating the time and the travel speed of the measurement information stored into the RAM based on the predetermined input information of the vehicle information and automatically storing it in a nonvolatile EEPROM (second memory means).
