To provide a monomer having excellent reactivity, imparting high heat resistance and high refractive index and having two or more polymerizable functional groups having different polymerization characteristics and an aromatic ring in the molecule and to provide an industrially advantageous method for producing the monomer.
The monomer is an acryloyl or a methacryloyl group-containing aromatic isocyanate compound represented by formula (I) (wherein, R1 represents a single bond or a 1-5C straight-chain or a 1-5C branched alkylene group; R2 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; R3 represents a single bond or a 1-3C straight-chain or a 1-3C branched alkylene group; X represents a halogen atom or an electron attractive group; m represents an integer of 0-4; n represents an integer of 1-3; and 1≤m+n≤5).
