Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture methane highly efficiently.SOLUTION: A methane manufacturing apparatus 100 comprises: a plurality of reactors 110 which house a catalyst accelerating methanation reaction; a plurality of communication paths 120 which communicate with adjacent two reactors in the plurality of reactors and send out generated gas generated in a reactor on a previous stage to a reactor on a subsequent stage; a raw material gas introduction part 130 which introduces raw material gas to a reactor on the first stage out of the plurality of reactors; and a cooling part 150 which cools generated gas generated in the reactor on a previous stage in the communication paths to the temperature at which methanation reaction starts, in which the raw material gas introduction part introduces steam into the reactor on the first stage together with raw material gas.
