PURPOSE: To obtain the title fuel reformer wherein the combustion at its burner part is stabilized without being influenced by the temp. of supplied fuel by detecting the temp. of methanol-water mixture to be supplied to the burner, computing coef. of viscosity of fuel, accurate amount of supplying fuel, and optimum air quantity to burn the fuel, and controlling the voltage of a fan motor.
CONSTITUTION: The methanol-water mixture in a fuel tank 1 is supplied 2 to burner nozzle 3 at specified pressure and flow rate. the temp. of the liq. mixture at this is inputted to a CPU 12 through the I/O board 11 of a controller 10, and the atomization quantity from the nozzle 3 and the air quantity sufficient for the complete combustion of the atomized liq. are computed from the coefficient of viscosity at that temp. The voltage of the fan motor 5' fulfilling the computed air quantity is then computed, and outputted to a voltage controller for the motor 5' through the board 11. As a result, stabilized burner combustion can be carried out without being influenced by the temp. of the burner fuel.
