Abstract:
Disclosed is a novel adsorbent having high boron adsorption capacity and having resistance against an alkali and an acid. Specifically disclosed is a boron adsorbent represented by general formula (1) (wherein R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; R2 represents a methylene group; and R3 represents an amino group containing a sugar alcohol residue, or an amino group containing a polyhydric alcohol residue), which is characterized by having an average molecular weight of 2500 or more in terms of polystyrene content.
