Abstract:
Provided is a novel method for producing a halogenated acrylic ester derivative. The method according to the present invention comprises: subjecting, in gas phase, a compound represented by formula (1) (in the formula, R1 and R2 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, or a monovalent group essentially containing a carbon atom, or R1 and R2 may jointly form a ring together with a carbon atom with which R1 and R2 are bonded, R3 represents a monovalent group from which a group R3O may be removed by R3OH removal reaction, and R4 and R5 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, or a monovalent group essentially containing a carbon atom) and having a boiling point of 500°C or lower, to R3OH removal reaction in the presence of a solid catalyst to obtain an ethene derivative represented by formula (2); reacting the ethene derivative represented by formula (2) with a halogenated methane represented by formula (3) (in the formula, X, Y, and Z are each independently a halogen atom) in the presence of a basic compound and a phase transfer catalyst to obtain a cyclopropane derivative represented by formula (4); and heating the cyclopropane derivative represented by formula (4) in liquid phase or gas phase so that the cyclopropane derivative undergoes R4Y removal reaction to obtain a halogenated acrylic ester derivative represented by formula (5).
