Abstract:
A process for producing a water-dispersible granulated carotenoid preparation comprising forming a suspension of carotenoid solvent using not or poorly watersoluble, non-halogenated solvents and flavor compounds with antioxidant, warming up said suspension to form a solution of said carotenoid in said solvent, emulsifying said solution in an aqueous solution of mixtures of food-grade starch colloid, removing solvent and concentrating the liquid formulation and thereafter drying said emulsion to form said powder.
