Abstract:

To propose a shape forming method which extremely reduces the weights of a reflection mirror itself and its magnetic structure, and prevents the accuracy deterioration of the reflection mirror surface shape due to the thermal distortion on the spot, and the deformation of an electromagnetic wave focusing unit due to the thermal stress, without increasing the weight and the power consumption, thereby accurately forming the shape into a designated shape.

The shape forming method for accurately forming the surface of a reflection mirror into a designated shape on the spot is for an electronic wave focusing unit having a reflection mirror made of a thin film material. The method includes steps of: predictively calculating and knowing the thermal distortion deformation of the reflection mirror subjected to environmental conditions in its installing place; covering the front/back side of the reflection mirror and/or an outside support surface of the reflection mirror with a film having a thickness different from the starting material, and previously taking its deforming fraction into consideration in the manufacturing process; and adjusting the distributions of the surface emissivity and the reflectivity over the surface, etc. to form the mirror.
