Abstract:
To securely set and input a desired location on a map through a simple operation.
When a user operates a bar code reader to read an arbitrary bar code out of printed matter where the bar code associated with information related to a specified location on the map is printed (S1), the read bar code is converted into the information related to the location on the map (S2, S3). The bar code reader sends the converted information as the location information on the map to a car navigation device body, which is made to display the map associated with the location shown by the location information on the map (S6).
