Abstract:
To provide a method for activating the active hydrogen of a compound and an activation catalyst applicable to various reactions in which the activation of the active hydrogen of the compound is concerned.
The catalyst has a quaternary ammonium group as a functional group, and the ESPD charge of the nitrogen atom constituting the ammonium group is +0.4 to +1.3 (electrons). In this way, the catalyst having the nitrogen atom indicating the above ESPD charge as an active site can effectively activate the hydrogen atom of the compound. Namely, the catalyst is suitable as an activation catalyst for various reactions in which the activation of the active hydrogen particitates. By using the catalyst, a reacion excellent in selectivity can be done.
