Abstract:

PURPOSE: To continue high activity for a long term, by inhibiting the deterioration of the activities of water disposal agents in alkalic waste water disposal in not less than 9.5pH by controlling the deterioration of the activities of the magnesia type water disposal agents or by contacting the water disposal agents, which activities deteriorate, with alkalic waste water, which pH is beforehand adjusted near neutrality.

CONSTITUTION: Magnesia type adsorbents obtained by containing 5W40 wt. % metallic oxides, such as, Al2O3, etc. to MgO obtained by burning Mg(OH)2, etc. at 400W700°C are used for disposing alkalic waste water in not less than 9.5 pH. These diaposal agents are contacted with alkalic waste water, which pH is adjusted to 4W9 - especially, 6W8 - by acidic waste water, etc., for a fixed time or in a continuous condition in order to control the deterioration of the activities of the disposal agents or activate the disposal agents, which activities deteriorate. The adsorptive activities of the water disposal agents in the case when the contact disposed water disposal agents are contacted with not less than 9.5 pH alkalic waste water are remarkably improved
