Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method for adding Ca into a tundish, in which the adjustment of the Ca adding quantity is executed in on-line according to closing condition of an immersion nozzle and the addition of the necessary lower limit of Ca can do.
CONSTITUTION: In the method for adding Ca into the tundish 4 at the time of continuously casting a steel by supplying the molten steel in the tundish 4 into a mold 6 through the immersion nozzle 7, Ca adding speed into the tundish 4 is automatically controlled according to the closing condition of the immersion nozzle.
