Abstract:

PURPOSE: To firmly adhere a material to be adhered by pretreating the surface of titanium and a titanium alloy to extremely increase the strength of adhesion by an adhesive in adhering method for titanium and the titanium alloy.

CONSTITUTION: Titanium and the titanium alloy are adhered to the material to be adhered with the adhesive for structural purpose by forming an oxidized film by anodically oxidizing titanium and the titanium alloy with a voltage above the spark discharge generating voltage in an acidic electrolytic solution and next, forming a hardened layer of metallic state by heating under vacuum atmosphere to reduce the oxidized film.
