To provide a method for adjusting a die of a multi-stage pressing apparatus, in which the die of the multi-stage pressing apparatus including an intermediate die can be adjusted by a single stage.
In an adjusting step S1 of the die, a pair of dies among a plural pairs of dies included in the multi-stage pressing apparatus 1 is attached to a single-stage pressing apparatus, and the pair of dies are adjusted based on the quality of a pressed article molded by the pair of dies. The plural pairs of dies are formed of an upper die 10, a lower die 20, and the intermediate die 30 on which molding surfaces are formed on each of upper and lower surfaces thereof. The single-stage pressing apparatus includes a slide 102 and a bolster 103 to which the upper die 10 and the lower die 20 can be attached, respectively. When the pressed article is molded by the lower die 20 and the intermediate die 30, the intermediate die 30 and the slide 102 have a certain relative position, and the intermediate die 30 is supported by a plurality of supporting members 40 and 40... to resist reaction force upon molding of the pressed article.
