Abstract:
PURPOSE: To adjust the height of shoe heel correspondingly to the place and the degree of fatigue in walking by a method wherein an auxiliary heel is inserted into a hollow of a heel main body and its height is optionally adjusted along the height of the heel main body by an operating mechanism. CONSTITUTION: A shoe has a hollow 2 in a heel main body 1 and opposite protrusions 3 and 3' are formed on the inside face of the hollow 2. An auxiliary heel 4 includes two or more protruding and recessed discs and opposite vertical grooves are formed on the side faces of the discs. To adjust the height of the auxiliary heel 4, the auxiliary heel 4 is inserted into the hollow 2 with the protrusions 3 and 3' coinciding with the vertical grooves and turned so that the protruding discs hook on the protrusions 3 and 3'.
