Title:
METHOD FOR ADJUSTING MOLDING MATERIAL COMPOSED MAINLY OF PAPER FIBER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3261368
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust a molding material by shortening an adjustment time and reducing energy consumption.
SOLUTION: Paper fibers are fibrillated by stirring 60 parts paper fibers and 70 parts water at a circumferential speed of 25 m/sec for 90 sec. and then a starch binder consisting of 28 parts starch and 12 part polyvinyl alcohol and one part zinc stearate are added. Further, the mixture is stirred at a circumferential speed of 25 m/sec at 60-100°C and for one min. 30 sec. Consequently, the starch binder becomes pasty to allow the fibrillated paper fibers to be formed into granules with an average particle diameter of 4 mm. Thus a kneading process is omitted and therefore, an adjustment time is shortened and energy consumption is reduced.
