Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present guidance for exactly adjusting roll position by a simple system.
SOLUTION: Two parts where are symmetrical to the center line in the axial direction of roll in a roll caliber are decided as a detecting position P2, each reference profile P1 of two detecting positions P2 is previously stored. Video signals of the detecting positions of an actural rolling roll are inputted and the actural profile P2 of each detecting position is determined by picture processing. Subsequently, the areas Fa, Fb between the actural profiles P2 in the detecting positions and the reference profiles P1 are respectively calculated and, based on the values of the sums and differences of two calculated areas Fa, Fb, the roll position is adjusted.
