Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To afford a cellulose-based fiber or cellulose-based textile product with excellent anti-yellowing function suitable for underwear by hydrophilicization treatment of the above fiber or textile product.
SOLUTION: A cellulose-based fiber or cellulose-based textile product is afforded with yellowing-suppressive function involved in wearing by hydrophilicizing the above fiber or textile product, that is, by introducing into the fiber or textile product one or more kinds of hydrophilic group selected from COOH, NH2 and SO3 groups to afford the fiber or textile product with a moisture absorption of 71-20 wt.%, for example, by carboxymethylating at 0.1-10 mol.% the fiber or textile product to introduce COOH group thereinto, or by polymerizing a monomer such as methacrylic acid or methacrylamide in such a state that the monomer is in contact with the fiber or textile product to effect grafting the hydrophilic molecules at a graft rate of 1-30% thereto.
