Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for aligning rotors of a switched-reluctance motor(SRM) capable of reducing noise that occurs at an initial time of aligning the rotors and also reducing the startup time of the motor, and to provide a SRM driving circuit that materializes the method.
SOLUTION: The method contains steps 401, 403 and 405 wherein the identical voltage pulse is applied to each of a plurality of phases of rotor-winding coils at an initial time of starting the SRM, steps 402, 404 and 406 wherein each current that flows to each of a plurality of the phases by the voltage-pulse application is respectively detected, a step 409 wherein each amount of the detected current at each phase is compared with each other and a step 410 wherein, based on the result of the comparison, a rotor shall be aligned to a phase to which the minimum current flows.
