To avoid variations of analyzed values by correcting an analyzed value of a gas in an electric insulation oil obtained other than nitrogen and oxygen in the oil with the use of analyzed values of the nitrogen and oxygen when components of the gas in the oil are analyzed by a gas chromatograph.
Components of a gas in an electric insulation oil used in an oil-injected electric apparatus, a cable soaked in oil, etc., are extracted under a predetermined reduced pressure, qualified and determined. In this case, an analyzed value of the gas in the oil obtained other than nitrogen and oxygen is corrected with the use of analyzed values of the nitrogen (N2) and oxygen (O2) in the oil obtained during the extraction of the gas. For instance, analyzed values of gases CO, CH4, CO2, C2H2, C2H4, C2H6 dissolved in a sample oil are influenced by a quantity of N2+O2 coexisting in the sample oil, and therefore decrease in accordance with a decrease of the quantity of N2+O2. The analyzed values of the other gases are corrected to correct values with the use of contents of N2 and O2, whereby a correct analyzed value of the gas in the oil is obtained.
