Title:
METHOD FOR ANTIMICROBIAL-DEODORIZING PROCESSING OF SILK
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002054073
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a method for the antimicrobial-deodorizing process of silk, by which the durable antimicrobial-deodorizing processing of silk can be performed by an ordinary antimicrobial processing method not using a binder without deteriorating the original touch of silk.

This method for the antimicrobial-deodorizing processing of silk, characterized by graft-polymerizing various kinds of monomers to the silk to give antimicrobial agent-reacting groups originally not existing in the silk to silk, and then binding the antimicrobial agent to the reacting groups. Thereby, silk can be bound to the usually non-reactive antimicrobial agent to perform the durable antimicrobial-deodorizing processing without deteriorating the touch of silk.
