Abstract:

PURPOSE: To stabilize drive speed through automatic pilot control independently of controllers by computing a pilot control value in dependence on a preset speed or correcting the value in dependence on the deviation of an actual speed from the preset speed.
CONSTITUTION: A measuring device 34 for drive speed detection connects to a control device 22 via a line 36, and measuring devices 38 and 40 for operation variable detection connect to the control device 22 via lines 42 and 44. For an adjustment of idling drive speed, the control device 22 executes pilot control to form a pilot control value as a function of operation variables such as engine temperature, engine speed and preset idling speed. The difference between the preset idling speed and the drive speed detected by the measuring device 34 is converted into a variable representative of a corrected air flow or corrected torque. The control variable is passed via a line 20 into a drive motor 18, which in turn controls a throttle valve 14. The control variable, when indicating an air flow, directly represents the angle of the throttle valve 14 and, when representing torque, indicates engine speed plus the angle.
