Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for biological treatment of organic waste water which has a first biological treatment tank and a second biological treatment tank which is introduced with the first biological treatment water and allows reduction of the volume of the biological treatment tanks.SOLUTION: A biological treatment apparatus for organic waste water includes a raw water tank 1, a first biological treatment tank 10 which is introduced with organic waste water from the raw water tank 1 and treating biologically with bacteria to produce first biological treatment water containing dispersed bacteria and a second biological treatment tank 20 which is introduced with the first biological treatment water and treating biologically to produce second biological treatment water. The biological treatment apparatus is not provided with return means of returning a sludge mixture liquid and/or separated sludge from the second biological treatment tank 20 or the downstream side of the second biological treatment tank to the first biological treatment tank 10 or the upstream side of the first biological treatment tank 10 but is instead provided with a return line 2 which returns the content liquid of the first biological treatment tank 10 or the first biological treatment water to the raw water tank 1 at a flow rate of 20% or less of the raw water flow rate.
