PURPOSE: To improve the productivity by supplying inert gas on molten metal surface from a molten metal supplying tube arranging gas supplying holes and filling up the molten metal into cavity in a mold.
CONSTITUTION: In a casting apparatus for filling up the molten metal 2 into the mold by pressurizing the molten metal surface in a molten metal holding furnace 3 through the molten metal supplying tube 10, the molten metal supplying tube 10 arranged in the molten metal 2 has a rather short inner tube at inner side and an outward appearance extended into the molten metal having some gap with the inner tube at outer side, and by arranging plural gas blowing holes at upper part of the gap part, the inert gas is filled up from the holes. By this method, casting under inert gas atmosphere with sequential casting cycle can be executed and the productivity can be improved.
