Abstract:
To clean a coating material from a printing base.
A method and an apparatus for cleaning the coating material from the surface of the printing base mounted on a plate cylinder of a printer by using an ultraacoustic cleaning unit are provided. The method comprises the steps of applying a cleaning solution to the surface of the base, rotating the cylinder so as to displace the base under the cleaning unit so as to release the coating material from the surface of the base, and removing the released material and the solution by using a vacuum system.
