Abstract:
PURPOSE: To supress generation of black stripes and while stripes to be caused by a variation of the transportation loads resulting from movement of each thermal head.
CONSTITUTION: A thermal head 13 for yellow(Y), a thermal head 14 for magenta(M), and a thermal head 15 for cyan(C) are disposed along the passing area of a color thermal recording material for recording a full color image by one sift of the color thermal printing material 16. A sag 43 of the color thermal printing material 16 is created between the Y thermal head 13 and the M thermal head 14. The length of the sag 43 is maintained by means of a sag sensor 42 in a predetermined range. A sag 47 is also created between the M thermal head 14 and the C thermal head 15 in the same manner, and it is maintained in a limited range. Even when the transportation loads of the color thermal recording material 16 vary through behavior of the thermal heads 14-16, these sags are absorbed in respective thermal heads 43, 47. Thus, the occurrence of black stripes and white stripes can be inhibited.
