Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove the problem that an emulsion fuel of a mixture of fuel oil and water cannot be ignited by a normal gun type burner because of its high ignition temperature, and a pilot nozzle for ignition by using the fuel oil is provided, to ignite the fuel oil in the pilot nozzle to raise the surrounding temperature so as to ignite the emulsion oil sprayed from a main nozzle to combust the emulsion fuel.
SOLUTION: The apparatus is a spray type combustor provided with two kinds of fuel system nozzles. One is the pilot nozzle using the fuel oil as a fuel to be ignited at the time of starting, and the other is the main nozzle for mainly combusting the emulsion fuel. The apparatus is able to operate and control the individual nozzles simultaneously or separately.
