Abstract:

To provide a control method for converters wherein the voltage phase of a three-phase alternating-current power supply can be detected with accuracy, axial deviation in a rotating coordinate system used in control computation is prevented, and the control performance is enhanced.

The three-phase input current to a converter is detected. The detected three-phase input current is converted into an active component current and a reactive component current. A converter active component voltage command value and a converter reactive component voltage command value are generated based on the difference between an active component current command value and the above active component current, and the difference between a reactive component current command value set to zero level and the above reactive component current. A phase error value is output using as input the above converter active component voltage command value and converter reactive component voltage value, and the above active component current and reactive component current. The output phase error value is corrected to the voltage phase value of the three-phase alternating-current power supply.
