Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method and apparatus for controlling a production system having high efficiency of production, high degree of freedom in system and satisfactory operability.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of operation units respectively provided with in operation sections 52 for predetermined operations and a plurality of unit controlling means 40 corresponding to the respective operation units to control the operation sections 52 are provided. A memory means 44 capable of storing and rewriting the unit status information of operation units provided in respective unit control means 40 in the whole production system including its own operation units of the object to be controlled, and an information rewriting means 42, for storing the unit status information corresponding to its own operation units and the other operation units except for its own operation units while always rewriting the unit status information to the respective its own memory means 44 so that unit status information of the respective memory means in the whole operation units is equalized to each other are provided. The unit controlling means 40 of the respective operation units controls its own operation section 52 on the basis of the unit status information stored in its own memory means 44.
