Abstract:
PURPOSE: To eliminate a vibration generated by a contact of a cylinder for supporting a cutting blade with a main winding roller.
CONSTITUTION: A method for chipping or cutting a web N to drive a periphery of a rotary roller 10 comprises the steps of periodically cooperating a first cutter 25 supported by a roller 10 with a second cutter 23 of an outside of the roller 10. When the material N is advanced without bringing the cutter 23 into contact with the cutter 25, the material N is extended over a breaking point between the first and second cutters. A tension of the material N is generated by a friction between the material N and the roller 10.
