In this method for cutting a weft of cord fabrics, the width of the cord fabrics is expanded by 1.05 to 1.25 times, warps are guided to channels in a state of the warps to which ≥0.06 cN/dtex tension is applied, a projection having an inclination rising in the longer direction of the cord fabrics is pushed against the cord fabrics, the weft is pressed in the vertical direction of the cord fabrics and the weft between the warps is cut by a knife arranged on the projection. This apparatus therefor is provided.
