PURPOSE: To improve the stability of a cutting position by cutting a wire by pulling-in it with a wire clamping jig in the cutting stage of an automatic winding machine for the clock coil.

CONSTITUTION: In the wire cutting stage of the automatic winding machine for the clock coil, the wire 3 is held therebetween by the plate members of the wire clamping jig 4, then, the cuter 2 is pushed to the neighborhood of a welded part 7 of a magnetic core 1. Further, as the cutter 2 is pushed to it, the claping jig 4 is drawn to the backward direction to pull the wire 3. In such a manner, since force is concentrated to a part pushed by the cutter, the wire in the vicinity of the welded part can be cut surely and the security of the cut position can be improved.
