Abstract:
To provide a method and an apparatus for detecting the contact of the hand with a steering handle which is formed simply and reliably actuates over the whole life of a vehicle.
In a method and an apparatus for detecting the contact of the hand with a steering handle to ensure that the vehicle driver's hand is laid on the steering handle, a first signal having a first frequency f1 being a function of whether the driver's hand contacts the steering handle is generated to generate a second signal having a second frequency f2 and an output signal SAusgang is generated as a function of the frequencies f1, f2 of the first and second signals.
