Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method and an apparatus for detecting the state of a terminal processing of a cable. CONSTITUTION: In medical environment, it is necessary for the terminal of a cable 1 to be processed so that the cable 1 can touch a patient's body. This apparatus issues a warning massage to a user, if the cable 1 departs from the patient. The state of the terminal action is confirmed by applying (14) the pulse of electric energy to cables 1, 7, 9, and detecting (15) reflection produced responding to the appliance of the pulse. The characteristic value of the reflection is detected, it is compared with the previously determined characteristic value, so that it is determined whether the cable 1 is combined to the patient or not.
