Abstract:

To prevent a trouble caused at passing-through of a rolled material by detecting a warp at the tip part of the rolled material and correcting the warp.

Loads applied to stripper guides 31 to 34 at the upper and lower parts of the inlet side and/or outlet side of a rolling mill 20 are measured with load cells 51 to 54. On the basis of these measured loads, the warping at the tip part of the rolled material is detected and also the upper and the lower rolls 21, 22 in the rolling mill are controlled to different peripheral speeds.
